When life seems busy, so busy that you don’t know who or where you are,
Listen to the silence.
When the voices outside are so loud that they drown out your very thoughts,
Listen to the silence.
When you want advice on where to go, or what to do, and other people’s ideas fall short,
Listen to the silence.
When the desire for physical food and sense objects disintegrate like the kiss of a typhoon on the sand castle’s face,
Listen to the silence.
When silence calls the way your stomach growls for food when it’s empty,
Listen to the silence.
When all that remains is the silence,
Listen to the silence.
The silence says so much.
And don’t be too disappointed if the silence says, “You have things to do, places to go, and people to listen to and talk with.”
Oh. “And you must eat!”
Just listen to the silence.
The silence knows.
