Me: “Well, my mommy gave me the name Pete. As for Saunders, most likely my father’s father’s father’s father’s father got it from his slave master, who then gave it to his children.
Dakari: “Oh, you mean my great-great-great-great-great-grandfather was a slave?
Me: “I have no proof, but most likely.”
