Would you dare
To let your truth
Fall into the
All-embracing arms
Of Life’s call to you?
Would you dare
To let your truth
Fall into the
All-embracing arms
Of Life’s call to you?
Today, I am high
On the breath
Of the earth
And grounded
In the mist
Of a new human birth.
Whether up or down,
Life is alive!
The mind is like
A lid attempting to contain
The pure dynamism
Of Life.
Forget the lid.
Soon enough
The whole container
Will safely crack
To allow what’s inside
To move as one
With what’s outside.
Caught between
Deciding and moving,
My small self
Hangs on to
The phantom safety
Of a fragile solidity.
Letting go,
It falls into
The firm emptiness
Of Life’s momentum.
I am not a set thing
I keep flowing
Shifting and emerging
And every now and again
Solidifying in those moments
When life plays a chord
That is familiar
To a certain dancer
In the band of I
Who then takes center stage
For a while
Freestyles a routine
It rehearsed a million times before.
Perfect!
Yet, fit for another life
A thousand moons ago.
And just before
Launching into
The final sequence
It melts
Back into the flowing stream
Being danced
By a new
Unfamiliar tune
Sometimes I feel
Like my actions
Are slaves
To my thoughts
Then I wake up
To realize that
I am what pulsates
From the beating
Of Life’s heart.
The Great Light
Carries me
Beyond material sight
To see
The inseparable we.
Can you let
Awareness be
The hand that
Pours you back
Into Oneness
With Life?
Can you allow
The ocean of Love
To consume you
And then live
From inside its belly
Like a baby?
Don’t talk.
Just coo.
I can no longer
Find myself separated.
For when I breathe
Breath also breathes me.
We are integrated.
And where we meet
All beings are free.
Open up into
The fullness of your being
Be like the flower
That greets each day anew.
